12pm – 1pm AEST
This ARACY–Queensland Kids Partnership webinar unpacks what the newly released State of Australia’s Children report means for children and young people in Queensland.
Developed by UNICEF Australia in partnership with ARACY and supported by Minderoo Foundation, the report combines the latest public data with children and young people’s lived experience – and makes the case for systems change.
With young people and sector leaders on the speaker line-up, we’ll translate the findings into a Queensland context:
What does the evidence say about young Queenslanders’ wellbeing?
Where are the biggest needs and opportunities?
What practical actions can we take now?
Hear from:
– Michael Hogan, Executive Convenor, Queensland Kids Partnership
– Chris Hatano, Young and Wise Member, ARACY
– Sian McCowan, Young Ambassador, UNICEF Australia
– Dr. Amy Graham, Communities Team, Minderoo Foundation
– Marketa Reeves, Project Manager, Australian Child and Youth Wellbeing Atlas, University of Western Australia
– Adrienne O’Dell, Manager of Domestic Partnerships and Alliances, UNICEF Australia
We’ll also connect the report to Australian Child and Youth Wellbeing Atlas (ACYWA), showing how it supports better data-informed decisions. You’ll hear from partner organisations sharing real-world examples of how they use available data to guide action for Queensland communities.
You’ll leave with a clear read on Queensland children’s wellbeing, sharper ways to use data and tools in your work, and a stronger sense of what we can do together to support every child and family in every community, according to their needs.
