Future Council is more than the name of the movie; it’s actually a real Council.
Any young person aged 9-16, anywhere in the world, can join the Future Council.
As a Future Council member, you will connect with other young people like you, who care about our planet, and start to make change.
The Future Council also welcomes any parent, teacher, business leader, or supporter who wants to get involved.
Thanks to all who joined us for the free screening of Future Council in Brisbane, hosted by Children’s Rights Queensland, NAPCAN and TQKP to help celebrate Children’s Week on 23 October.
Directed by Damon Gameau (2040, That Sugar Film), the film follows eight children on the ultimate school excursion: a road trip across Europe to meet influential leaders and explore solutions to some of the world’s greatest environmental challenges. Their mission is to understand the planet’s predicament, discover innovative solutions, and bring the conversation from the streets into the boardrooms of some of the world’s largest polluters and most powerful companies. This bold, hopeful journey leads to the creation of a Future Council—young changemakers working with business leaders to shape a better world.
