We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Jane Yacopetti as independent Chair of the Management Board of the Thriving Queensland Kids Partnership (TQKP), and her commencement in the role this month.

After a recruitment process facilitated by Directors Australia, Jane has been appointed to a three-year term.

Jane is a highly experienced senior executive with over 30 years’ experience in both the private and public sectors, and at board levels. She has wide ranging experience in strategy and planning and her management and governance expertise is extensive and varied. She has held executive roles in large tertiary health institutions in Australia and successfully built and managed a consultancy company working both nationally and internationally. Jane was formerly a nonExecutive Director of Mater Misericordiae, and a member and Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors of Children’s Heath Queensland HHS.

Jane is passionate about delivering services and systems that make an impact on the people for whom the services are intended, and she has an interest in the governance, systems and processes necessary to deliver such outcomes.

She has spent a large part of her career working in organisation’s delivering services to children and young people. This experience gives her valuable insight into the challenges involved in delivering integrated and effective services and systems.

Jane joins the TQKP Board, which reports to the ARACY Board, at an exciting and key time. TQKP is now into the final year of its current 3-year Phase 2. The TQKP team are developing through the Board and the broader TQKP Leadership Table, and with key partners, an ambitious Phase 3 Strategy and suite of investment proposals for the next 5-year phase.

We look forward to the contribution Jane will make working with the rest of the TQKP Board and the backbone team navigating the Partnership forward, building on the relationships, foundations and momentum built to date.

We are also very grateful for the leadership provided by Sara Parrott, who has acted as Chair since late 2023. Sara has provided invaluable guidance and support, especially in the initiation of TQKP’s planning and engagement for Phase 3. Sara remains on the Board as a highly engaged philanthropic partner to TQKP, and a strong link to the Queensland Kids Funders Alliance and other national philanthropic and impact investing networks.

Jane looks forward to engaging with TQKP’s partners and collaborators
