Thriving Queensland Kids Partnership has collated resources to support Queensland organisations to listen to, and action, the voices of children and young people across all of our systems.

We are committed to embedding the voices of children and their families in all of our work. When we include the voices of children and young people in our work, we make better decisions and get better outcomes for everyone. This is in line with United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 12, which maintains that
children have the right to give their opinions freely on issues that affect them, and that adults should listen and take children seriously.
The aim of this page is to make it as easy as possible for all of us in Queensland to start elevating the voices of children and young people, right now. You’ll find links to:
  • Quotes from children & young people
  • Child & youth engagement reports
  • Engagement guides
  • Existing youth advisory groups
  • Examples of how Queenslanders are putting this into practice.
