Wellbeing is a commonly used term, but it can mean different things to different people. This variability in interpretation can make it challenging to fully understand what wellbeing entails and, ultimately, to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people.
To address this, ARACY has partnered with Emerging Minds to create a dynamic and engaging animation that brings the definition of wellbeing to life. This video also introduces The Nest, Australia’s wellbeing framework for children and young people. Developed by ARACY, The Nest is grounded in robust evidence, incorporating research, expert opinions, and the perspectives of children and young people themselves.
When we share a common understanding and language around wellbeing, we can work towards a shared goal: ensuring that all Australian children and young people thrive. By providing a clear and consistent definition, we aim to eliminate the barriers to understanding and collaboration, allowing for more effective programs and services, evaluation, and comparability across different evidence bases.
Join us in exploring this brief animation and learn more about how we can all contribute to the wellbeing of children and young people. Let’s work together to create a world where they can thrive in every way!
